Final Photos of Final Project

My composition is almost done. Professor, Margie, had no extra suggestions for my work today. Now I am looking for a good way to hang my light on the ceiling. Besides, I will take the final work's photo tonigh. In this course, it seems we have to be experts in all kinds of fields, such as photograph, craft, computeran d painting. My friends just wonder why we are always playing and they are studying hard. -_-!
I do not plan to revise my composition any more, because I think the futher rivising could make a mess of my current composition instead of revising. I have no any idea.

The composition I finished after 10 hours

I occupied 2 tables in the library~~~~I walked around on the campus last night, I hope it is strong enough to hang my lantern.

At the begining of this project, I had no idea about where were we headed to. Now, at the last day before we turning in the final work, I still have to make a new one, a bigger one. I got a lot of problems and I have not figured them out. Hope I will not stay over night again. Good luck tonight for everyone!

Reflection on Readings

Type--parts of letter

As an international student, I did not know that there were so many different parts that make twenty-four letters. It is very useful for me. It gives me a background and concept of letter to start this project. Besides, I can see many similarities between Chinese word and English letter. For example, both of them use lines to help people to locate a word or letter.  There are different widths of stroke.

Photography essay

          Photo_ops talks about all sorts of technologies or forms in photography, like symmetry, asymmetry, repetition, framing, close-up, continuous-mode, and movement. It offers so many useful methods which can help me to have better ideas about showing the meaning of the word in this project. I can try different angles and use “repetition” to emphasize my main point in a composition. I like this reading very much. Once people look at a scene or an object in a different way, they could have a largely different world in their eyes. When we see something with aesthetics, it could become more beautiful and meaningful.

In Photography_steveedwards gives a big amount of information about the history of photography. There are mainly photo documents and documentary. After knowing the derivation of photography, I think we can use this technology better in the project. It helps us find a good approach to show our word.

Working process

I think we are most fast group that finidh constructing letters. Here are some pictures of working process from my camera.

As you can see, we are preparing to take pictures over there. I cannot post the final photos because it needs to be rvised by Photoshop.
