My final 9 compositions









This is a revised edition of last one.

  1. From the top down:
    1)in this case maybe the blue should be stronger chroma to draw as much attention as the green.
    2) Area behind the S & E could be darker or stronger chroma blue to really look like it is squeezing.
    3) Try switching the red & green, so the red U is squeezing the green word, which is lighter in value and carries less visual weight. The background could be weaker in chroma to make the word really stand out.
    4) nice illusion of space, but do you need it to define the word? Just one squeeze would be enough.
    5) The white stroke is distraction so just make it a transparent stroke, and then change the color of the cracks so they are the same color as the flakes falling from the letters--this could be a color that contrasts (in hue or value) both the word and the background. You could also overlap the letters more to show how the word is being squeezed.
    6) Again, I think just one word would be enough to suggest the meaning. Increase the value contrast in the foreground word vs. the background
